Location

With a free permit provided for parking in our quiet street and only 5 minutes’ stroll from Bath city centre our guest house is ideally placed for your stay. At the other end of the street is the Kennet & Avon Canal providing a beautiful setting for a walk or just to sit and watch the boats go by.

Central Bath offers a wide selection of pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes. The Royal Oak serves real ale and home cooked food and is just at the end of our road. Attractions include The Pump Rooms, Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and the new Thermae Bath Spa natural hot spring baths.

Picnic in front of John Wood’s Royal Crescent then for a different view of Bath take a balloon ride from the Royal Victoria Garden.

 

 

Getting to Bath

Airports

Bristol International Airport is the nearest and has the usual car hire companies, a minibus service to Bath and frequent fast buses to Bristol Temple Meads station for the 15-20 minute train ride to Bath. If you are arriving at another airport then feel free to contact us for advice on getting here.

By Train

Bath Spa station is a 90 minute direct journey from London Paddington for connections from all London airports.

By Car

From the M4 motorway, leave at Junction 18 and travel south on the A46. Take the right turn at the roundabout onto the A4 and follow the road until the junction with the A36, signposted to the University. Turn left and go over Cleveland Bridge. At the end of the road go right at the traffic lights, follow the road and go straight on (2nd exit) at the next roundabout.
